The porous plugs installed in the hearth of an aluminum reverberatory furnace generate a bubbling of inert gas (argon or nitrogen) inside the furnace, stirring the metal causing an agitation and consequently a greater uniformity of temperature, speed of alloy and homogenization, with a partial degassing of the liquid metal.
The complete set includes:
- Porous plugs distributed in the hearth (one or several units, depending on the bath surface).
- Purge and gas dosing circuit with connection pipes to the plugs.
- Control panel with individual system MFC (Mass Flow Controller) adjustable, for process agitation, degassing and automatic purge by-pass.
